We have a Wanaka based role for a retail expert to coordinate the upgrade of our retail POS, E Commerce and Rental software operations. The job will involve managing the changeover process from our existing retail platforms to a set of new platforms.
You’ll need a proven background in the industry with a great understanding of brands and strategies to generate sales. The candidate for this role will be a person with passion for all things digital, and an excellent understanding of how consumers behave online.
It’s also a given that you’ll love the outdoors, be passionate about adventure and addicted to our products.
You will be responsible for managing firstly the upgrade of our retail POS software, our ecommerce store and our rental software.
Switching our POS system is a major operation and will require skills such as
· Collating user requirements and working with software providers to deliver these
· Designing and delivering training for retail/rental staff
· Planning and implementing transfer of data from existing system to new system
Then you will be responsible for the maintenance of our ecommerce store, www.outsidesports.co.nz, alongside implementing our digital marketing via email campaigns and various social media networks working closely with our general manager and our store managers. This role includes all skills involved in running an effective website including experience with CMS, SEO, Data management, bulk product importing and digital marketing. This is a busy and varied role and would suit an organised and pro-active individual.
You must be able to legally work in New Zealand or hold a current visa.
