We are more than just a restaurant with a large kitchen garden attended to by a full time horticulturist which provides the focus for our hyper seasonal menus, served alongside a 100% natural wine program.
With a focus on sustainability, community programming, live music, function spaces as well as a 120 seater restaurant Sherwood is a large, dynamic operation.
Key Accountabilities
Beverage Preparation: Prepare a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences. This includes mixing cocktails, pouring beer and wine, and preparing coffee and other non-alcoholic drinks.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking drink orders, and offering menu recommendations. Address any customer inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally.
Bar Maintenance: Ensure the bar area is clean, well-organised, and stocked with all necessary supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and liquor. Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as washing glasses and utensils.
Compliance: Adhere to all relevant alcohol service laws and regulations, including checking identification to verify the legal drinking age of customers. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and prevent over- intoxication.
Handle Payments: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately.
Safety and Hygiene: Follow safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of food and
beverages, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to health and safety regulations.
Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and managing bar inventory, including restocking supplies,
placing orders, and keeping track of inventory levels.
Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills & Experience
These are the desired skills and experience for this role:
Previous experience as a bartender or bar attendant preferred.
Proven knowledge of cocktail preparation and mixology techniques.
Licence Controller Qualification would be favourable.
Knowledge of beverage and alcohol laws and regulations.
This is a full time role, minimum 30 hours per week, maximum 50 hours. Pay rate between $26.00-$30.00 per hour across a 7 day roster depending on experience.
