Job Description

Join the team at The Bathhouse, Queenstown’s iconic lakeside restaurant and bar, as a Food & Beverage Supervisor! We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to manage our evening operations, ensuring exceptional service, smooth operations, and a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a Duty Manager Certificate and a passion for providing top-tier guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the front-of-house team during evening shifts, ensuring efficient and professional service at all times.
  • Manage daily operations, including guest greeting, ordering, food and beverage service, and closing procedures.
  • Ensure quality and presentation of all food and drink orders, coordinating with kitchen and bar staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing guest inquiries, concerns, or issues to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain a positive and energetic work environment.
  • Assist with inventory control, and place orders for food and beverage supplies as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and liquor licensing laws.
  • Hold Duty Manager responsibilities, overseeing liquor service and safety protocols.
  • Handle opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, reconciliations, and end-of-day reporting.

Requirements:

  • Valid Duty Manager Certificate (required).
  • Hold a valid work permit (required).
  • Proven experience in food and beverage service, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
