Unless you've been living in a cave for the last couple of months, we're sure you've seen news and updates about GDPR Compiance and concerns about privacy online.
Today, Global Publications and JobFix are happy to announce that we've taken steps to make sure our apps, services, and processes are GDPR compliant.
What is GDPR?
The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect May 25, 2018, and is the latest iteration of privacy laws that aim to limit data breaches and loss of personal data online.
In the words of the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise -
"GDPR's primary purpose is to create one coherent data protection framework across the EU. In doing this, GDPR substantially enhances data protection and privacy rights for persons in the EU, and imposes a comprehensive set of principles and obligations with which (a lot of) organisations operating or offering products and services in the EU must comply."

What does that mean?
While Global Publication and JobFix don't strictly 'do business' in the EU, we appreciate that many of users visit us from the European continent; so, we've updated our policies in order to comply with GDPR regulations.
