Learn The Ins and Outs of Angel Investing from AANZ

Next Wednesday, 18 September from 9 a.m. to noon, WWIN (Wanaka & Wakatipu Investment Network) and Startup Queenstown Lakes will host the Angel Association of New Zealand for their Angel Investing 101 course. The session will be led by Auckland-based investor Ken Erskine at the Sherwood Queenstown.

The course will help learn the basics of becoming an angel investor and having an appreciation for the risk profile and mechanics of angel investment is all covered in this succinct ‘awareness raising’ course. Topics will include:

• the rewards and challenges of being an angel,
• the legal requirements around eligibility and if you decide to become an investor director,
• the importance of building a portfolio and how to go about this,
• the importance of being involved
• the role of exits, and
• where and how to access support
