Human Connections Group has partnered exclusively with The Lakes Building Company for the appointment of a Site Manager based in Queenstown.   The Company   The Lakes Building Company are a locally owned and operated multi award winning construction company based in Queenstown. With over 14 years local operating experience they are a well-respected and prominent Queenstown construction company offering new homes, renovations, alterations in residential construction through to semi-commercial and commercial projects.   This is a fantastic opportunity for a Foreman looking to step up into a more rewarding opportunity or an existing Site Manager looking for a more stable and long-term position with the opportunity for further development.   For the right individual this is a long-term opportunity with a huge potential for growth. For both you and the business.   The Job   As a Site Manager you will be reporting into the director of the company of ensuring the highest standards of workmanship are maintained, making sure the build falls within budget and deadlines.   You will have previous experience managing teams and getting the best out of both employers and contractors, being prepared to lead by example and working on the tools. Previous experience in training and working with more junior members of the team is a must and you are expected to pass on your knowledge and skills.   You will be overall responsible for the health and wellbeing of all employees and contractors on site, ensuring health and safety standards are being adhered to, whether they are statutory or employer specific, all on site paper work is completed and up to date, all workers have the necessary tools to work safely.   As a senior member of staff, you will be the main contact on site and will have excellent communications skills and willing and able to deal with clients, architects, project managers and project stakeholders.     Experience required   A safety-first approach to work A focus on quality at all times Qualified LBP LBP registered would be an advantage Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Foreman Logical thinking and analytical skills Good written and verbal communication skills Good problem-solving skills Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously Good computer skills Ability to build relationships both internally and externally with suppliers, subcontractors and clients alike Full NZ Driver’s License       To find out more about this truly exciting role contact Tom Chandler in confidence on 027 298 5110 or email your resume and cover letter to jobs@humanconnectionsgroup.com
