European Bakery is a long-established wholesale bakery supplying cafés, restaurants, hotels and retail customers across the lower South Island. We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our leadership team in Queenstown during an exciting period of growth.
This is a practical, lead-from-the-floor role. You will work alongside the packing team, manage inbound goods, and keep daily operations running smoothly between production, packing and distribution.
In early 2026, the business will move into a new, purpose-built production facility, offering a rare opportunity to be part of a major operational step-change.
About the role
- Lead and support the packing team (6–7 staff) through hands-on supervision
- Provide day-to-day leadership and support to Packing Shift Leaders
- Manage rostering, training, recruitment and day-to-day performance
- Coordinate closely with production, office and distribution teams
- Receive, check, sort, store and rotate all inbound goods (packing and production materials)
- Maintain stock accuracy, food safety standards and an organised warehouse
- Act as Duty Manager when required
About you
- Experience in a hands-on supervisory role within warehousing, food production or manufacturing
- Strong people leadership with a practical, lead-by-example style
- Comfortable supporting and guiding shift leaders on the floor
- Good organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Calm and reliable in a fast-paced environment
Bakery or food manufacturing experience is an advantage, but not essential.
Hours and roster
- Full-time role
- 5 days on / 2 days off (Sunday and Monday)
- Predominantly daytime hours (approximately 8:00am – 6:00pm)
What we offer
- Competitive salary $80,000 – $90,000, depending on experience
