Big Jump in Job Candidates in January

The number of new jobseekers looking for roles in Queenstown across January jumped 17% compared with December. Overall jobseekers viewed 14,000 job pages on JobFix across the month, up 20% from December.

Traditionally January is quieter than December but with more arrivals into the country and interest in tourism at an all-time high, the JobFix audience grew as did the number of roles each visitor viewed.

Overseas visitor arrivals into NZ were 418,900 in the December 2023 month, increasing by 54,200 [up 12%] from the December 2022 month.
