Glenorchy Air is looking for a Flight Logistics & Ground Operations Coordinator to join our Queenstown-based aviation team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where no two days are the same and where customer experience and teamwork are everything.

You’ll be the friendly, organised face of our operation - supporting guests, assisting flight operations, and helping ensure every scenic flight runs smoothly from the ground up.

About the role

As part of our flight coordinator & operations team, you’ll work closely with all areas of the business including pilots, operations staff, and customers to deliver safe, seamless, and memorable scenic flight experiences.

This role suits someone who thrives in busy environments, enjoys responsibility, decisive, contientious in their work and takes pride in being reliable and professional.

Key responsibilities:

  • Greeting and assisting customers before and after flights

  • Managing check-ins, bookings, and customer enquiries

  • Coordinating passengers, flight schedules and aircraft loadings

  • Supporting pilots and operations staff on the ground

  • Handling phone and email communications

  • Completing daily admin and operational tasks

  • Maintaining a calm, organised front-of-house environment

  • Delivering an above-and-beyond customer experience

  • Checking booking details are accurate to ensure flight experiences go off without a hitch.

About you:

To hit the ground running in this role you'll be:

  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused

  • Calm, reliable and decisive under pressure

  • Organised with strong attention to detail

  • Comfortable juggling multiple tasks

  • A clear communicator and strong team player

  • Scenic flight or aviaition experience preferred or the ability to pick up processes fast

  • Minimum of 2 years driving experience with Full NZ licence, eligible for Passenger Endorsement as driving is a part of this role.

  • Excellent computer literacy, including MS Office & Teams

  • Proactive, conscientious in your work and, a great listener

  • Great attention to detail

  • Available for immediate start

Experience in tourism, scenic flights, and or adventure activities with a logistics coordinator is highly regarded, but full training will be provided.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong customer service experience

  • Great organisational and time-management skills

  • Excellent computer literacy

  • Ability to work weekends and public holidays

  • NZ resident or citizen, or legal working rights (sponsorship not available)

  • Scenic flight or aviation tourism experience is preferred
